How recommendations, corrections and commercial visibility work

Astypalaia App is built to stay practical, independent and revisable. That means Chora, beach and boat-day recommendations remain editorial, commercial visibility stays separate, and changing island conditions are handled more cautiously than stable public facts.

Editorial standards

1

We do not sell best-of positions inside guide pages

A business relationship does not automatically create a featured place inside beach, stay or route pages. Editorial usefulness comes first.

2

Commercial visibility should stay visibly separate

If a partner placement exists, it should appear as explicit partner space rather than disguised neutral advice. The guide is not supposed to blur that line.

3

Stable public details are checked before publication

Official names, map locations, village structure and other durable details are treated as verifiable facts. They deserve stricter checking than live boat timing or seasonal services.

4

Wind, boat links and live logistics are handled with caution

Road conditions, small-boat departures, weather exposure and seasonal intensity can quickly change the right shape of a day. In those cases we prefer useful caution over false certainty.

5

Recommendations can change when the island reads differently

If access changes, if quality drops or if a stay or route sequence no longer produces a clean Astypalaia reading, a recommendation can be revised or removed.

6

Corrections help most when they are factual and specific

The strongest correction names the issue clearly: wrong access, outdated detail, inaccurate location, lower quality or a page sequence that no longer fits the island well.

Use support for factual corrections, local updates or business questions. The more precise the note, the more useful the review.
